Cant import svg file into adobe premiere

So i made a video outro with an animated gif and the only way i can save it is into svg file format, i am trying to import it into premiere pro but it wont detect the file, does premiere pro not support svg files? Also could there possibly be a way to turn the file into an mp4 file intead?

As mentioned by Ann Bens, SVG is not a supported file format. Please check this list: Premiere Pro CC supported file formats

Transcode the file into a different format & import.
