Caption error in PP 24.4.0

Not sure if this is with the program or just me, but since it's never happened on my system before, I have to assume it's with the last PP update: Almost every time I select a subtitle (caption) and backspace to remove the "New Caption" it crashes the program. It gives me this screen. I start over and everything is fine until I do it again.
