Captions

Hello.

I am running Premiere 2018 on 2013 macbook pro.

I am using the open captions feature to make subtitles for a feature film.

The issue I am having is with the opacity parameter. Specifically the "edge colour" opacity.
Scenario:
The opacity of the edge colour is 4% for some reason. When I adjust the opacity to 100% it snaps back to 4%. This happens with both the slider and text box when I type it in. It as if the parameter is locked somehow.
I had a similar issue earlier on but I realised that the "Edge" stroke parameter was set to 0 and that is why I did not see the change in opacity. I set the stroke parameter to 6,9 and I could see the stroke around the text. In this case I have a new caption. The edge parameter is set to 6,9 but the opacity slider snaps back to 4%. When I type it in it also snaps back to 4%.

Is this a glitch? Any ideas?
