Captions burn in even after I have deleted the caption track
I’m using Premiere 26.2. I created captions on a project. I only wanted them in a sidecar file, not burned in. I exported the project to MP4. I tried everything to prevent the captions from being burned in:
- With the captions Export Options set to “Create Sidecar File”
- With the captions slider turned completely off
- After turning off the view (eye) icon on the captions track
- After COMPLETELY DELETING the captions track
In every single case, the file was created with the captions burned in. The only thing that actually worked was to do ALL of the above, plus right-clicking every audio track and choosing “Ignore Transcript.” Is this a known bug?
