Captions change position after closing and reloading project

Question

Hi all,

Got a bit of a weird glitch come up but just wanted to post in case anyone had found any solutions.

I work in a team doing social media videos for clients in the 1:1 format, we use captions in .srt format for all videos. For some reason, if we save a project and close it, then re-open it, the captions are randomly floating in a compltetely different position and are cut off see images:

At the moment, this means we have to re-edit the captions which isn't ideal as we have a very fast required turnaround for our clients.

Originally, we thought it was because we were opening the project off of the server on different computers, but it seems to happen on the same computer that eited the video originally too.

Have reset preferences and cleared the cache, restarted premiere, restarted computers... if anyone knows of any alternative posibble fixes or knows what causes this issue, would be most helpful! Thanks

Thank you for the detailed post and we appreciate that you tried the troubleshoot steps by your own.

As per your issue, I understand that captions are floating randomly in a completely different position after you re-open the project.

Would you mind sharing the sample file of your project with us so that we can test it on our end?
