Captions issue

I'm trying to use the captions feature in Premiere Pro. I'd like to make my own style with font and drop shadow. However, the Essential Graphics panel isn't showing me everything that is normally there. For instance, I don't see the Drop Shadow option. Am I missing something? I've included a screen shot of what I see in the Essential Graphics panel.

You have a 608 Closed Caption type stream. That does not allow all the options. If you don't need 608, right click on the caption track header, pick settings, and change to "subtitle."
