Sorry to hear about this. Is this happening with any specific caption/sequence or all of them? If it's happening with any specific sequence, have you tried copying the contents to a blank new sequence to check if it shows the preview? Also, if you have applied any custom changes in the Properties panel, try temporarily disabling that to see if it restores the caption preview.
