Example.1

Setting : "Align Left" + "Open position caption block" on lower middle

But...

As you can see it still expands out on both side eventhough "Text align left" is selected.

Example.2

Setting : "Align center" + "Open position caption block" shifted a bit to the right

Result...

Now it expands to the right???

Example.3

Isn't "Text alignment" supposes to work as a pivot for text and "Open position caption block" should works as a position of that pivot?

That is odd. To clarify, your white background with the "flower" on the left is a graphic layer you have added? And the actual caption background is transparent? The problem is that the caption alignment is regarding its background, not yours. And it autosizes to the text. So only the x/y values (whether set with the caption 9 position block or by setting the x/y, has any effect.

I don't know what the intention is of the paragraph alignment is. What are we missing?

Thank you for your time Mr.Stan. And yes, the white background with the flower is my lower third. I wanted to shift the caption a bit to the right, to balance the weight of the flower on the left. I assume from your answer (Which I still cannot understand cleary yet, maybe because of my English is not strong enough) that the caption in Premiere pro is working differently form text tool in After Effect.

And this tool (A caption alignment) is depends on the sequence frame size and it only tool that affect the text no matter the paragraph alignment is set, am I correct?
