Capture/Batch Capture

The Elura 80 is the camera I started shooting my doc on, 5 years ago. For a variety of reasons, I'm just now getting to capturing the interviews and b-roll from it, but I can't get it to sync with the time coding in Premiere Pro 2017.

I don't expect you to know how to do that exactly, but answers to my questions could help me figure out why when in first plugged it in, I could control the camera, but the time code was off and nothing was displayed in the capture window. I attempted to fine tune the controls and now--nothing.

My computer is running Windows 10, with 2 Tb of free space, and a 250 gb flash drive.

So:

1. Is there a Elura Specific driver I need to install?

2. Is there a specific FireWire driver I need to run (legacy driver? Which one? I tried the instructions on the 'Help/DV Capture post and had no change in Offline status)?

3. Does anyone have preferred, recommended, or branded capture/batch capture software? I can always edit in Premiere once the footage is captured...?

4. Are there any community members using an Elura model (preferably the Elura 80) that might not specific settings inside the camera and in Premiere that they found continuously successful?

5. Can someone recommend a user community that I can search threads for clues to these or other future questions?

Thank you for your time!
