CC 2018: Cutting down from Source Monitor and Import takes over 1 Min.

Hey everyone,

Ever since we've updated to CC 2018,

Cutting down from the Source Monitor and importing footage into the project takes absolute AGES, no matter the file size , no matter the length,

Premiere Pro freezes for a solid minute and then continues working.

Anybody know what that's about?

thanks

Jannick

    Hey, I've figured it out,

No matter how often I reset CC 18, it'd always copy the settings from Creative Cloud back into it at startup.

I have deleted all settings again, deactivated in the settings the automatic sync and now it is working normal.

Hopefully this information is helpful for the next guy.

    Thanks.

Ahh ... right, syncing from the CC cloud got ya.

Yea, auto-syncing might not be the best option. Glad you got it figured! And thanks for posting back. I've always done a manual sync up ... and just didn't think of this happening.

It is a ProMax Server Raid, it's capacity is 50.1 TB (RAID 5) , I am connecting through Thunderbolt 2.

There is 40TB left space on the server.

every other computer in the company doesn't have

the problems I am encountering, so it needs to be something specific to my setup, not to the server, I assume.

    Thanks

I'v seen others report similar, though I haven't yet seen any solutions.

    Let's get the details.

    Hi,

Weirdly enough, if I drag the video from the source monitor  with this button (or the audio)

There is literally ZERO delay, if I cut it down, everything freezes up. So I'm pretty certain it has nothing to do with performance etc,

but rather a big big big bug in Premiere Pro.

    This needs fixing ASAP!

    Thanks

There was a reason Jim asked for the details ... if this is a bug and not some glitch in your installation, then it's a very small subset bug (of total users) and we'd need to know what sort of rig you're getting it on.

As this is not something that I can replicate on my Win10 rig, nor is it commonly posted here, the more data you post, the better to try & sort this out.
