CC 2018 HDV Render/Export crash

Hi all.

I'm running CC 2018, and I have a project in 1440x1080, captured originally in HDV.

I've cut the project and am ready for export (to file, not tape), but Premiere crashes if I render the timeline, and also crashes if I try and export it. I've tried sending it to Media Encoder for export and it still crashes. It doesn't matter where on the Timeline I try and render, it sometimes completes a few thousand frames, and then crashes, and sometimes it crashes at the first frame.

I'm running High Sierra on a late 2013 Macbook Pro, 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB.

Just if anyone is having the same problem, I solved it by transcoding the original HDV footage to ProRes and that did the trick.

Cheers!

Make new project, import old one and try again.

Thanks for the suggestion Ann,

But that hasn't worked either. I've tried rendering my sequence into ProRes but that hasn't changed anything either. I think I'm going to have to transcode the original files into ProRes or similar, and swap out the HDV content.

Cheers!
