CC608 captions not formatting properly

I'm trying to add closed captions to some of my broadcast programs and have no issues in Premiere 2023 generating the transcripts and creating the captions. I'd like my captions to not appear over the top of my lower thirds, so I've formatted individual captions to align right during those times. Looks great before export, with embedded cc608, ProRes422LT. Export reveals the proper alignment of the individual captions, but all still positioned screen center. Plus a black background on the captions that I didn't select. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here? Or is there's another cc/qt flavor that I should be using for the embedded captions?
