Change default nomenclature when duplicating clips, titles, etc.

Hola - I often Duplicate titles or bins when setting up my workflow in Premiere Pro CC (2017.1.1) and find it such a pain to have to individually edit each title, delete "Copy __" and have it match my own system. Is there anywhere in default settings to avoid this?

There are no user settings for this.  All that might help is that the name of the copy is immediately highlighted so you can just start typing the new name right away.

While not built-in, this scenario is ripe for using macros to help you out. That is, you can automate the entire task of hitting Enter to rename, deleting the Copy__ text, and using your own naming system, prefix or suffix, by assigning the whole process to a single hotkey.

Look up Autohotkey for Windows or Keyboard Maestro for macOS.
