Question

Change Pathway for Dynamic Links

Hello!

I recently got a new MacBook and therefore packaged my After Effects project using Collected Files and Project Manager in Premiere Pro. I've saved these to new locations on Google Drive. When I open the packaged Premiere Pro file, I encounter an issue. My dynamic links are sort of working, but (!) several elements are no longer being found by the AE source file.

So, my question is: Is there a way for me to relink my dynamic files in Premiere Pro and choose the recently packaged AE file from the new location on Google Drive to use it as the source file? I know the AE file finds all the assets and has all the necessary assets in the Footage folder. Replace footage is grayed out when I right-click on the dynamic link in the Project Panel, so that option doesn't seem to work.

Or do I need to manually re-import all the dynamic files from the new AE file (which has a new location on Google Drive)? That sounds a bit cumbersome.

No, you can´t do that in Premiere Pro.

Open the After Effeccts project (.aep) and relink the media there and save the project. You can open the AE project by using the Edit Original command in the Project panel. When done, everything should be linked and you can open Premiere Pro.
