Changing default aligment for video and audio transitions

Dear Friends, 

 

My first post:) so hi y'all. My name is Jaap. 

 

I think i changed the default aligment of the deafault transitions that i'm using. For constant power (Audio) and Cross Disolve (Video). They are now both set at the default aligment 'End at Cut'. 

 

Did i do this myself or....? if so, i can't remeber. I would be helped a lot if somebody could tell me how to change the deafault aligment to 'center at cut'. By the way i know how to change it mannualy but that is quite a tedious thing to do for all transitions:)

The way default transitions are set depends on the amount of handles.

If there are plenty of frames, the transition will be auto centered.

If one of the two clips does not have enough handles or none at all it will be Start of Cut or End of Cut.

Also, keep in mind you don't have to select any clips. Just click the edit point you want the transition, then ctrl-d, etc.

    Thank you for your clear awnser Ann. Maybe you can help me out with the following too:) 

     

    Picture 1.

    lets say i have two clips and i want to apply my default transition between the two. 

     

    Picture 2.

    i select the two clips and press my short key for the default transition. Now you see there are three transition 'boxes' placed, but i just wanted the one that would connect the two. Is there a fix for this?

    oh i forgot to mention, that it is important to me to use short keys, so i dont want to drag and drop if possible
