Changing shutter speed in post

Hi there,

I accidentally filmed with a shutter speed of 1/500 but it should have been 1/50. The footage is of someone talking to the camera, but now it kind of looks jittery or unrealistic. Can I change the shutter speed back to 1/50 in After Effects, and how?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey there,

Welcome to the community. You can change how Premiere Pro interprets Footage by right-clicking on the media in Project Panel > Modify > Interpret Footage. This won't give you the same motion blur as a video recorded at 50fps, though. You can use the Timewarp effect in After Effects to create an effect of lower shutter speed. Here's a tutorial on how to do so: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsyuG98HZMo. Let us know if this helps.

Thanks,

Ishan
