Changing the color of an object in a video with a transparent background

Good evening! I have footage with a transparent background, I want to change this color of the earrings. I use Lumetri Color. I clicked on the color with eyedroppers, but it only became highlighted when the first slider (H) was dragged to green. When I try to select a color from the circle, nothing happens. When I move the sliders lower, the color changes a little (from blue to orange only). And I need gray color. Who has encountered this?

Gray isn't a 'color' on the Hue spectrum. It's the absence of color (chrominance), only luma (luminance). So you probably can't get there from here by clicking a color.

 

Maybe if after clicking, you pulled the Saturation way down on the lower controls.

 

I would need to know more about your setup for this, but I might be doing a Track matte run at this. Alt drag the clip up to V2, then again to V3.

 

On the clip in V3, set the Lumetri instance HSL to mask on, Black/Color. It's the area of the 'outside' I'm guessing, that you  want to change. So use the key control sliders to turn off Hue, use only Sat and Luminance sliders.

 

Lower the sat and work luminance so your background area is selected, then add a slight bit of blur and denoise.

 

Now go to the clip on V2, add the track matte effect, set it to taking luminance and from V3.

 

Now you can use the Lumetri effect on that clip, and anything you do will go to replace the area masked in V3. You could even use the Color Replace or whatever it's called instead of Lumetri I think.
