chnaging video format to replacing with after effect composition

Hi, I notice that when Im trying to replace a clip that is MPEG type with after effect composition I get an error - "the importer report a generic error ".

My Quastion here is maybe there is a way to change the video type that already in the timeline, I means a clip that already edited?

Make sure Pr and Ae are of the same version.

You should be able to import any nested sequence format.

You can change the format if you like in the Sequence settings of the nest.
