Choppy Playback

I am using Premiere 22.6.2 on a new Mac Studio with an M1 Ultra chip and 128 gigs of Ram yet still have choppy playback with Canon R5C files shot at 6K Raw.

Even going to 1/4 resolution does not help.

Any thoughts?

6K Raw? Might want to consider transcoding or use proxies.

I have had a lot of issues with proxies especially if some are slow motion.

I just got the newest best mac available so I wouldnt have to make trancodes.

Appreciate the thought though.
