Choppy playback in premiere pro
Currently having issues playing anything in premiere.
stuttery playback and audio regardless of format. i.e. have tried with mp4, mxf, prores, proxies, mp3 and wav files all of which playback just under full speed and stutters.
this is from both external hard drives (magnetic disk and SSD) as well as internal hard drives (M2 drive + magnetic drive)
I have updated windows, all adobe apps, Nvidia studio drivers
have tried uninstalling and re-installing prem. have also tried an earlier version.
I've tried disabling my security software (sometimes that can interfere with other programs although I've not heard or ever had issue with it interfering with adobe software)
cleared cache.
playback is fine from After Effects.
other than factory reset the PC (which I ideally don't want to do) I have no idea what to try
