Choppy sound timeline

Hi, it´s impossible to edit with music when the timeline for audio is extremly choppy. You can´t edit to the beat! I have all the latest updates but this problem have been an issue for a long time now.

Is this affecting video playback as well or just audio? If you go to Preferences > Audio Hardware, set the input to 'No Input'.
