Ci Workspace Extension: Login redirected through SSO failing

Ahoy!

When trying to use the Sony Ci Workspace extension for Premiere Pro 15.2.0 (Build 35) on macOS 11.4 for the first time, you are facing a login prompt asking for your Sony Ci credentials. Since my company manages access to Sony Ci using SSO, I am redirected to my company's login site, which in return uses two-factor authorisation with a mobile app. Before the 2FA element can be displayed in the redirected SSO login site, the extension crashes and I have sent an AdobeCrashReport.

Does anyone have experience with extensions using redirected SSO 2FA user authentication and knows how this might be fixed or bypassed?
