Clip Markers BUG. If you do a replace edit all the markers in the clip move.

Question

Clip Markers have a major BUG.I'm using markers to select the various good sections of footage between a clip.    Each maker then is an option.In my edit in the timeline I use only one of the options marked with a marker.If I decide later to choose another option (another section of the clip that has been marked) and do a replace edit, then all the markers in the clip move.   Basically you loose all your tedious work of adding markers to your clip.All the markers move and now they don't align with the actions or sections of footage that they are supposedly marking.This is a big bug that makes clip markers use less.  Now we can not trust doing replace edits because it changes all our clip markers.Please Adobe, fix this issue with clip markers.

I'm unsure of whether you are using actual sequence markers or clip markers (not quite the same thing) ... or exactly what. Remember Clip markers are tied to the time-code of the clip as far as I understand ... sequence markers tied to the time-code of the sequence.

If you use clip markers, and use a different section of a clip, well ... your markers are from the part you changed out. They will stay with that moment in the clip.

If you use sequence markers, they stay in location on the sequence, and any change in clips below means they could "appear" very differently, but only because they are in the same spot on the sequence time as before but you've changed the media below them.

If you want to place a marker on a particular spot, then replace the clip and have the marker still be there with the new clip ... you would need to use Sequence markers. And make sure the sequence stays the same length.
