Clips have Double Image Glitch in Premiere Pro not on VLC or other player

I shoot a video with my phone, watch the clip on my phone or with VLC or Windows Media Player and files are fine.

But when I watch them on Premiere Pro, i get this weird Double Image Glitch. And when I export out the media, it comes with the glitch. So when I watch that exported media file in VLC, etc, the clip is embedded with the double image glitch.

How do I get rid of this? I am thinking it's a codec problem. I don't know. Thanks!

Correct answer Michael Grenadier

have you checked your cfr conversion to make sure that it is cfr?  and have you converted the frame rate to 29.97fps?

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Hand brake to convert to constant frame rate:

Thanks for the quick reply. I converted the file with handbrake as you suggested via "constant framerate" but still same problem

Try switching your project settings to software rendering only.

Also try using different footage to see if the problem is specific to that video.
