Closed Captions "Paint On"

Hello -

I'm making CEA-608 / 708 closed captions for broadcast that requires the first caption to be "paint on."

But when I select "paint on" in the type box it's not changing the caption to paint on.

Can someone please help me fix this?

Thanks -

I have been unsuccessful in getting VLC player to use embedded captions in mxf. I was motivated by your question to finally test telestream/switch player trial.

My export of a 608 stream from PR 22.3.0 played in switch shows paint on (left to right) each of 2 lines separately.

Hey Stan -

How did you export?

Does it paint on in the sequence play back as well?

I can't get it to work on my end and when I do it will be very helpful to export for broadcast.

Thanks -

I think it was just from PR, but I would expect no difference from AME.

It does NOT paint on in PR review/program monitor.

As noted, I have not gotten any success with paint on until I tested in the Switch player.

How are you testing? Did PR ever show paint-on in its preview?

Sorry! All the options seem to pop on. Here is a similar bug: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/43314903-bug-premiere-pro-caption-effects

I will let the team know.
