Question

Color changes itself during playback

Hey,

I got a problem that never occurred before in other projects. If I playback a clip in my sequence, some files change their white balance automatically in the first milliseconds if they are connected to another file. There is no visible correlation with FPS or resolution. If I disconnect the affected file from the other it doesn't happen any longer and it's only at the beginning. If I cut away the beginning nothing changes and there is still this change in white balance. I tried several different Premiere versions and Monitor settings. I use Windows 11 on a GTX 1070, ryzen 3900 and 32 GB ram. I'd love to find an answer, since Adobe support is always Overwhelmed if it's more than restarting the Programm.

Greetings

if you transcode to prorers before importing, does the issue go away?

Are you importing the full contents of the card to the computer?

Hi Jakob,

Sorry to hear about this. Currently, Premiere Pro is not compatible with Windows 11. Refer to this link to know more about the compatibility of  Adobe apps with Windows 11. To check for any GPU acceleration issues, try switching the Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only & check if it's working properly. Also, are you noticing this issue after updating to Windows 11 & is this happening with media files coming from any specific camera?

Thanks,

Sumeet

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately it doesn't work on my windows 10 device either. Most of my files are shot on my Sony a7iii. Due to the fact, that the time code of the error is at no specific point in the clip but always at the beginning and it only occurs if I connect it to other clips, I think it has anything to do with my camera.

By "connected", do you mean just one after the other on a sequence? Or transitions, what?

Yes, I mean one after the other 🙂
