Color Configuration Error Premiere Pro

Hi,

Im editing an short movie and the color space of the original media is 1-4-6. Premiere changes it to Rec. 709 in the sequence. When doing that the media loses color quality in shadows and blacks, and it starts to show something like a path of shadows when something moves in the clip. If I press "display color management" in Lumetri Color then it fixes that on the preview, and it looks fine. But after exporting, the clip still has the same problem. I guess its an error on my configuration. 

How do I configure my program so it looks the same as the preview with "display color management" after exporting it??

QuickTime tags 1-4-6 is Rec.709, using a display gamma of 2.2.

 

So yes, use display color management, and set the Premiere viewer gamma to 2.2/web.

I already use display color management and everything. My problem is when exporting, the video doesn't look like the preview on premiere with display color management on.

If you're on a Mac without "Reference Modes" ... that would be expected due to Apple's choice to use a non-standard display transfom. That is, in QuickTime player, and Chrome and Safari browsers.

 

Try viewing in VLC or Potplayer. You will probably see an image very close to Premiere Pro's Program monitor with the viewing gamma set to 2.4. 

 

You could set the PrPro "viewer gamma" option in the CM settings to 1.96/QuickTime and then what you see in the Program monitor will be similar to QuickTime Player, Chrome and Safari browsers outside of PrPro.

 

However, if you use VLC or Potplayer, your image will be too dark and over-saturated. Like it will appear on all non-Mac screens, especially  any broadcast compliant setups. And on Android, PCs, and most TVs also.
