hello, I’m having this terrible problem with my exports. I know a lot of people have this issue and they say it’s because of QuickTime but I don’t think that is my issue. The first two weeks were perfect I could export and my projects looked great. All of a sudden, there is a weird loss of color every time I export any video. It looks washed out on any platform and I’ve tried exporting multiple different ways. Media encoder also looks the same and I tried to export it as a final cut project too, but i can’t get that to work either. Any help would be greatly appreciated I have several projects due

Thanks for responding, I've been on the live chat with them two different times now for hours and still no luck. Im on Mac os Mojave 10.14.1 Radeon Pro 560 4096mb. My mac is fully up to date, i've tried older versions of premiere, resetting the preferences, multiple different types of export settings. I'm using quicktime and I know this problem is usually accredited to quicktime, but it still has the loss of color on my phone or youtube, anything outside of premiere. I'm not sure how to check my color space, but since i've uninstalled and reinstalled so many times it should be all the standard factory settings. Thanks again!

    Hi LynneS!

I have some good news and bad news. The good news is that I know exactly what's going on with your color! There's nothing wrong with your system or your software.

The bad news is that there is an inconsistency with the way that different apps display color and it's resulting in editors being unable to utilize our color-correction features. There isn't a workaround just yet but we ARE working on a solution.

I'm so sorry that I didn't find this thread sooner!

Thank you for your reply. How is it going with the solution?  I got the creative cloud to learn premiere and after effects with the dynamic link feature, so I can't really use either one for work.

Try rolling back any updates installed since then.

    What is your OS/hardware?

Give us a screen-grab of your export dialog box ...

And have you updated you OS ... ?

Next ... what are you viewing the files in to determine there's a problem?

Edit ... I need to also ask:

What's your monitor, color space & calibration process you use?

I also have the same problem and it bothers me very much. I wish they could fix it.

I have a big difference in shades after the export. Especially contrast. Much less beautiful

    I'm using Windows 10

And on the same screen I see a big difference in colors before exporting (in software) and after export.

If you're seeing a big difference on a PC, what are you using to view outside of PrPro ... QuickTime? Hope not ... that app is as color-stupid as it is possible to be. Use VLC or PotPlayer.

Next ... what is your monitor, the color space it's set to, and how have you calibrated it? Or ... have you?

If you, as the user, don't set up your system for color management, it ain't gonna do it on its own. Period. Every screen is different, every computer has slightly different bits and settings ... there ain't no "standard" so that any video looks the same on other screens. You have to set up a standard system preferably to Rec.709 video sRGB, and work within that. Then, if your system actually is close to the standard, your material will look relatively the same as other "pro" material on any one screen/device.

It will never look like it does on your screen.
