Color Mismatch Issue Between Project and Exported File

Dear Adobe Support Team,

I hope you're well. I'm facing an issue with color discrepancies in my project. The colors I see while working in the project do not match the colors in the final exported file. This is affecting the accuracy and quality of my work.

Could you please help me identify what might be causing this issue and how I can resolve it? I'm currently using [Adobe Premiere Pro 2025] on [IMAC].

Looking forward to your assistance.

Best regards,
[ SHASHANK ]

Hi Shashank,

Welcome to the community! As suggested by R Neil Haugen, a mismatch in viewer gamma can cause such issues. We hope the solutions shared help you understand & solve this issue. Please go through the article provided to understand this in detail, & let us know if you have any questions. We're here to help.

Thanks,

Sumeet

If you are viewing Rec.709 files in QuickTime Player, try VLC or Potplayer.

Apple's ColorSync applies a non-standard display transform. QuickTime Player allows that.

VLC, Potplayer, and Safari do their own CM, using the correct display transform.

If you only care how it looks on Macs without Reference modes set to HDTV, then use the viewing gamma option of 1.96/QuickTime and Premiere will use the brighter gamma within the Program monitor so the exported file will look similar outside Premiere in Qt Player.

But too dark on everything else, and thank Apple for the mess.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
