Color Picker not working in 2025

This has been a known issue for a long time. You have multiple monitors and try using the color picker in Text, Lumetri, etc. and all it delivers back is the dark gray background of premiere. There are workarounds to this like opening only in your pimary monitor or making sure that all monitors have the same percentage sizing.
I'm not gonna do any of those. I use multiple monitors of varying sizes and I'm not changing my entire workflow for a single feature that Adobe has failed to properly impliment.
In the meantime, the easiest workaround is to literally use photoshop to get the color I'm after (sometimes after screencapturing a particular piece of footage).
I can't wait to fully make the transition to Resolve.

As a long-time user and teacher of Resolve Studio ... it's got oddities too. Long-time as in over a decade, around R14 or so.

But it has far less allowance for any user UI customization. For three screens, your only options are 'clean feed' out to one of them, and the other two .... setting which one gets which of the two windows it gives you. You can't change the tools in either window, nor the general layout.

Yea ... that's a good part of the reason I'm still primarily in Premiere. It has customization and it fully allows mapping my Tangent Elements control surface for anything I want ... including audio mixing, sizing/rotation/positiion of any screen elements ... you name it.

BlackMagic barely allows a basic use os some of the tools of that panel in Resolve, locked down so again the user can't change them. Annoying. But will never change as they provide Resolve as a loss leader to get people to buy BM hardware ... like their nice but spendy control panels.

I've got enough BM kit to have a couple extra licenses in a drawer.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
