Colours/colourspaceis randomly changingduringexports no matter the colorspaceI'm editing in. I'm using cine gamit c-log 3 footage with basic conversion luts and am getting completely different resultsduringanexport. This even happens when I put the correction lut into theexporter rather than an adjustment layer in the timeline.
I have recently encountered color space issues during export in Adobe Premiere Pro 2023, and its been a bit tricky to navigate. The problem usually arises when your project settings do not match the export settings leading to discrepancies in color accuracy between the timeline and the final output. One common issue is the mismatch between Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 color spaces especially if you are working with HDR footage. To fix this make sure your sequence settings align with the export format and double check that you are using the correct color profile for the intended platform. It helps to test with small exports to troubleshoot.
Thanks for sending through, I've got quite a lot of experience with colouring and different colour spaces and have ran tests trying different spaces. This is a version issue as I've had no problems in the past exporting thousands of projects using the same media.
I continue to have the same issue on recent updates. It seems random and will just re-assign the color space within the sequence. I've had some luck going through MODIFY > INTERPRET FOOTAGE and fixing the color space there, but that is time consuming and painstaking. It seems to be more of a problem for codecs that aren't higher end cinema, at least from what I've observed.
It shouldn't be changing the clip color space after it's been set in the Interpret Footage dialog. But if you haven't done that, depending on how you've set the Preferences option for "Auto Detect Log Color Space" and whether the Sequence setting for "Auto-tone map media" is checked on or not, you can get different behaviors.
Basically, users need to always check the color management for clips anymore.
