Hey everyone 👋

I recently switched from CapCut to Premiere Pro, hoping to level up my workflow with a professional tool. Honestly? Some things are great — but others have left me genuinely frustrated, especially coming from a free app.

Here's what's bothering me:

**1. 🎤 Audio pitch when changing speed**
If you speed up or slow down a clip, the pitch shifts and there's no reliable way to fix it. I've tried tweaking every available setting — nothing works properly. CapCut handles this out of the box. A free, "made-in-China" app does better pitch correction than Premiere Pro. That's hard to defend.

**2. 📝 Auto-captions are way behind**
The transcription works, sure — but captions are completely static. No word-by-word highlight, no animated presets, nothing. CapCut has had this for years and it's now a social media standard. I genuinely have to leave Premiere to make captions for Reels or TikToks. In 2026. With a paid subscription.

**3. 🎭 Masks are a pain to work with**
Sometimes they just don't work. And when they do, the workflow is clunky — copy-pasting through Opacity, nested sequences, workarounds on top of workarounds. It feels unfinished.

**4. 🎯 No native auto-tracking**
There's no built-in way to attach text or graphics to a moving object. Third-party plugins that handled this apparently broke with the Object Masking update in Premiere 2026, since mask data is no longer exposed to developers. So now it's all manual keyframing. After Effects does this natively — but switching apps for such a basic task completely kills the workflow.

I want to love Premiere. It's a powerful tool and I chose it for a reason. But right now, on these specific points, a free app is beating it — and that's frustrating for anyone paying for a "pro" subscription.

Are others experiencing the same? Has anyone found solid workarounds? And most importantly — is there a proper channel to get these in front of the product team?

Thanks 🙏
