Computer + Premiere crashes on export v23.2

Every time I try to export media in premiere pro v23.2 my computer and premiere crashes. I have a 2017 macbook pro - it's a little older but nearly up to date with the system updates. The clips i am using are from 2014 (not sure if that even matters but figured i would include it). I have tried updating premiere, exporting at the lowest quality, restarting, etc. i started to export different sections of the video to see if that helped and i was able to export certain chunks of the video no problem but other parts it'll crash.
