Configure a Defalt Save Folder when Exporting Videos

I realize Premiere Pro seems to remember the last folder you save a video to. When exporting a video from the editor.

Is there any way to set a default location? 80 to 90% of the time I want to save to Videos. If I'm going to save to a specific folder, I feel like I should only have to make that choice when necessary.

Pretty sure I cannot do this, but hoping I'm wrong.

Regards,Terry

Hi Terry!

Currently, Premiere Pro does not offer the feature of being able to set default export settings. However, Adobe Media Encoder does allow users to create personalized presets to select upon every export. The link below will show you how!

Create custom presets for Adobe Media Encoder

One more tip: when you name your preset, have a "1" or an "A" at the start to make it the first option in the preset window. This will eliminate the need to scroll down searching for it each time you use it.

There is a way to do this, but it's probably too clunky.

In the Media Encoder preferences, you can specify an output file destination that it will always use.

Once you have set this, you need to import your Premiere project from Media Encoder. You can either drag the project file into Media Encoder, or use the File > Add Premiere Pro Sequence menu.

Then select your sequence, and the output destination will already be set for you.

If you choose to use this method, make sure to save your Premiere project before importing it into Media Encoder or you won't get the latest changes.
