I am confused about the "Override" and "End action"

The past several hours, I tried to find out how I get the menu to function properly, but have given up.

Therefore, I hope that someone can help in this forum.

The picture shows how the project structure is.

There are 1 Main Menu
1 submenu
5 Timelines

Should I use the "Override" or "End action" where I have placed a -?-

Button 1  :  -?- Timeline 1 -?- Timeline 2   -?-    Back to Main Menu

Button 2  :  -?- Timeline 1 -?-  Back to Main Menu

Button 3  :  -?- Timeline 1 -?- Timeline 2   -?- Timeline 3   -?-    Back to Main Menu

Button 4    -?-

When playlists and chapter playlists were added, overrides because less important.

So using playlists and chapter playlists, in your flow above, Timeline 1 gets an end action of "main menu" or "last menu" or whatever.

If you want to play timeline 1 to timeline 2 back to a menu, create a playlist that has timeline 1 first, then timeline 2, and the end action of that playlist is whatever menu you want.

Another playlist for timelines 1, 2, 3, 4.

Button 2 goes to timeline 1.

Button 1 goes to playlist 1.

Button 3 to playlist 2, etc.

If I only use "End action" button it don't work.

In "button 3" is "Timeline 4" set to "Timeline 5" and "Timeline 5" is set to "Main menu"

If I  in "Button A" change "End Action"  in "Timeline 5" to "Timeline 1" then this change also change the "End Action" in "button 3".!
