Consolidate Duplicates in Premiere Pro 25.3.0

The Consolidate Duplicates function does not work.

On a new project file I just imported files into the project folder. Started using the footage and setup a sequence. But then I had more footage that I downloaded so I selected all in my windows explorer folder and dragged them into the project folder in Premiere thinking I can just get rid of the duplicates. But when I tried it, it doesn't work. See video attached.

I'm  running on Adobe Premiere Pro 25.3.0 on a Windows laptop

Hi @Fearless_hands3006,

Thank you for reporting a problem and sorry for the issues. I don't believe your video was attached, could you try to re-upload?

What kind of media files are the clips and about how many are you working with? Are they separated out into bins? Where are the clips being stored and downloaded to? If you right-click on an original and a duplicated clip to 'Reveal in Explorer', are they pointing to the same one in the same location?

Sorry for the frustration,
Dani
