Constant crashes after August 2024 update

I updated to the most recent Premiere Pro, and the application constantly crashes even if I do simple things like cutting footage (no prior issues in my years using Premiere Pro).

My system is an: RTX 4080, i9-14900KF, with 64gb DDR5.

Any advice how to best resolve this? (it was working prior to the updates)
