Constant crashes v 24.4.1 (build 2)

Since update program crashes constantly. Seems like it could be a bug related to memory leak.

Few of my single project sizes can go up 50 and more gigabytes (editting in Full HD with additional 2k drone footages [with proxies]).

Steps:

1. editing (crashes);

2. group a multiple clips to aply cross disolve to all clips (crrashes);

3. group multiple clips to apply audio gain to normalize all peaks (crashes);

4. switching workspaces to graphics, colors, etc. (crashes).

5. exporting (crashes).

System information:

Windows 10 (10.0.19045)

CPU: i7-8700 3.20 GHz

RAM: 16 GB

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX1080

Hi @Oskars Adamovics - We just released 24.5 can you update and let us know if you are still receiving crashes?

Hello,

Same problem here. I'm using MXF files...

I'm now trying to work with the beta version...

Regards,

Jan

Thank you again for your files and troubleshooting.  When you get a chance can you try creating a fresh project in 24.4.1 and drag everything to that project then save > restart and see if that does anything.  I'm wondering if there is something in the project file going from 24.3 > 24.4.1. Thank you again!

Well, whenever today I tried to edit in v24.4.1 it kept crashing, so today I mostly edited in v23.6.5.

Just rolled back to v23.4.0 and the biggest project files kept crashing even with roll back. Most interesting part is that v23.4.0 kept the new label color schemes of v24.4.1.

Opened smaller old project of v24.4.0 (with new label color schemes) and it didn't crash. Maybe it was just a luck and I had to give it more time.

Anyways here is the video.

Oh, I also noticed that premiere had frame substitution recursion attempt aborting with .MXF files. Maybe it has something to do with it. Here is project file with project of v23.6.5 and few .mxf files. https://files.fm/u/auer8p99pg

It's almost 23PM over here so I'm calling it a night. I'm going to get back on this on monday probably.

Thanks for your effort and have a great weekend, Jamie!

Thank you for the files.  I'm curious if your system still crashes while using the Beta?

No problem. I believe I tried to reset plugins.

Here you go - https://files.fm/u/4yhhaec53j
There are two project files of the same project. One is renamed in case your system doesn't recognize my unicode characters.
These are just project files. If you need a project with media files - let me know.

Hi Oskars - Thank you for troubleshooting.  Are you able to send me one of the project files?   Checking if you tried to disable plugins as well?

Oh, yeah, my bad again. Sorry.
I believe there is installed BlackMagic's capture card on my PC because my colleague twice a month captures a secondary copy of live recording from studio.

Tried to reset plugins an plugins cache by holding shift key and opening premiere.
Also cleaned all my media cache, media cache files and peak files manually.
Didn't help. Tried to open a bigger project of show to re-export but Premiere keeps crashing.

I see you have Blackmagic desktop installed, thats why I was asking about external hardware.  If you don't need that for anything can you try uninstalling.   Can you try holding down the shift key and open Premiere.  There are some options to reset plugin cache and disable plugins.  Let us know how that goes.  Thank you for your patience and troubleshooting.

Hey, Jamie!

Yes, indeed, I do actually use a secondary monitor for preview. No external devices though. Well except the external DVD drive.

Ah, yes, I thought I've forgot to mention something. Sorry about that.
The only plugin I'm using sometimes is "Mr. Horse Premiere composer" and standalone "SoundQ" to import sound effects.

Hope this information helps.
