Correct answer Richard M Knight

This, I think, would be a job for After Effects.

It would be an excellent if content aware fill was a feature in Premier Pro. It currently requires After Effects and Photoshop (for a reference frame). Even if it still requires having the other apps installed, It would be nice if Premier Pro could allow this right in the editor.

Hi Hamberg,

Indeed, After Effects is the tool to help you achieve this. That said, rotoscoping and background replacement is not a very easy task for a "complete noob" to accomplish (there is no "content aware" effect for video that I'm aware of).

You may need to hire an experienced compositor for this job, I think. You can also try posting on the After Effects forum if you do want to attempt fixing this shot.

Thanks,
Kevin
