converting Clog 3 to rec709

Help guys. I owe an R5c and shoot in Clog3. I have a hard time converting the Log footage into a decent Rec709. I am new with premier and have been all around the net looking for a solution in vain! My Premier Pro does not have the "Auto detect log footage..." and the Modify/interpret footage/color is not working since all the features that i want are all grayed out! I tried the official Canon conversion Luts but the results are not satisfying at all

what am i missing!? someone said to remove the clip from the timeline but that did not work either
