Question

Crashing immediately -- Cleared Cache, plenty of storage and memory

Every time I open a specific project within Premiere, it crashes after trying to playback any clips.

This is the only project it happens with. I have used these file type (from a Sony Cinema camera in multiple previous projects with no issue). I receive no error message, I leave enough time for the project to load, I have SSD storage. I have cleared the cache, I have plenty of storage and RAM.

I have even transcoded several clips in Handbrake, in case that was the issue, and the same thing happens.

There weren't any issues early on in the project, and I haven't added extra footage into the project. I have no idea what to do -- I updated to the latest NVIDIA Studio Driver, and reinstalled Premiere.

looks like a file or plugin/effect is causing this issue. Try to open an earlier version of the project from the auto save

...and if Kevin's suggestion doesn't work, try importing the project into a new project.

Hey JT,

How frustrating. Sounds like you've performed some good troubleshooting steps. Maybe it's a corrupt sequence? You may want to copy/paste the clips into a new sequecnce. See if that works.

Thank You,

Kevin
