"Create Adjustment Layer" command not responding

Help please?  I want to create a new Adjustment Layer, but when I click on New Item -> Adjustment Layer... nothing happens.  IE, no dialogue box pops up.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Ann,  Yes I did have a sequence set up. 

But... I booted up today and it all works fine now!  I'm on a Windows 10 PC. So if anyone else is in the same boat... try a re-boot!

But... I booted up today and it all works fine now!  I'm on a Windows 10 PC. So if anyone else is in the same boat... try a re-boot!
