Question

Create Script in Automation Blocks That Adds Tape Name of Selected Clips on Active Sequence

Hello!

I just completed a three day shoot with TBs of footage for multiple videos in a series. Is there a script in Automation Blocks that would allow me to input the particular video of the series to the selected clips' Tape Name metadata? They are all strung out on a timeline, so ideally, I'd love to be able to select the clips on that timeline then have the script run on those. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I just added a new tool to the Community Library for you. Just enter a tape name in Automation Blocks' Inputs panel and when you run the tool, it will apply that tape name to all clips that are currently selected in the active sequence.

The block code is pretty simple:

You can download the script here, or in the Community Library at

Project Management/Metadata/Set Tape Name for All Selected Clips of Active Sequence.xml
