"Creating Proxy Jobs" Not Loading

Hello,

Whenever I want to create proxies for a few clips in 4K there is a looooooong delay before the "Creating proxy Jobs" icon shows up, and after it does the slider goes nowhere.  What am I doing wrong, and how can I fix this?

    I got your note. I hope you're doing fine today. Have you solved the issue, or are you still having problems? Have you tried 23.6 yet? If not, try it and let us know if it works better. I hope the community can assist you.
