Crop effect freezing footage

Question

Whenver the crop effect is applied to a video or adjustment layer, the video footage becomes frozen and there appears to be no way to fix it other than removing the crop effect. Premiere pro 2020 was completely fine until i updated to this janky new version. I use this effect on all of my videos, so essentially this is an inconveniece to my business and I am losing time/money at this point.

Never mind. I'm an idiot. My adjustment layer for some reason was being created at a different frame rate to the sequence. (Still a bug)

Another thing I forgot to note is that it appears to be frozen on the very first frame of the clip.
