Cross Zoom Consistently Glitching

So at the end of my videos, I have a little overlay that goes over the video to close out my videos and I use the Cross Zoom function to bring it into the clip.  However, as of late I have noticed that it's been badly glitching out.  As it doesn't know how to process the zoom function giving it a very warped zoom changing the scaling on both the X and Y axis at a rapid pace in both positive and negative directions.  It is set to 5 seconds to bring in the overlay nicely.  I haven't changed anything that I know of and this has been a consistent issue as of late.  Any ideas on how to fix this or has anybody experienced this?

Here is a clip to one of my endings from what I am seeing if I choose to try and use the Cross Zoom.

I think I finally figured out what causes this issue. I was using the preview of my video at 1/2, and it had this weird bug, as if the X and Y axes were increasing at different speeds. When I switched the resolution back to Full, it was fixed.

If you render at a low resolution, this bug will persist, but when you render at maximum quality, it will disappear.

Try switching from Full to 1/2 and 1/4, the difference is noticeable.

Okay, I tried the couple things but it seemed to have resolved itself?!  I think it's an intermittent issue but it's still a pain in the ass when it crops up.  So I would say for me no solution.

since this is a recording of a game, it could be caused by a variable frame rate source.  see this:  https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-issues-with-screen-recorded-footage-in-premiere-pro/td-p/10874355?page=1

maybe try to separate the 2 functions. one is the scaling ( zoom ) and one is the fade out from that duplicate clip on video layer above that one... so you basically see the zoom scaling on lower level, and the fade out from the duplicate above it .. leading to your end thing....( your overlay ?)

I was using the Cross Zoom for a cleaner uniform transition of the overlay.  I have been doing what you have said in order to get by this Cross Zoom issue.

It's probably a video driver issue.

Try resetting the preferences:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/Premiere-Pro/FAQ-How-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-Premiere-Pro/td-p/8236158

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.

I'll give it a try on my next video.  I am still experiencing the issue but it might be because it's an older edition of  Premiere Pro and not the 2020 edition.
