CTRL-Z undoing the wrong step

Recently, when I try to press CTRL-Z, it won't undo what just happened, but it will undo the next thing. For example, I imported files into Premiere, and then I moved something on the timeline, and I wanted to undo that, but it undid the imported files instead of the action I just took in the timeline.  So far, I've reset my preferences and restarted my Mac, but this issue persists.

Macbook Air 2020

Sonoma 14.5

Premiere Pro v 24.6.1

HI Ava,

Thanks for the message. On a Mac, the undo shortcut in Premiere Pro (and most other apps) is Command (⌘) + Z, not Ctrl+Z. Also, make sure the panel where you want to undo is selected. I hope that helps you.

Thanks,

Kevin
