Hi FzFranki,

Could you please also confirm if you are using macOS Tahoe by any chance? Additionally, is this issue occurring specifically with existing/old projects, or with new projects as well?

Thanks,

Sumeet

Hello!

I have the same problem in Premiere. When I click “Export” or the “Quick Export” button, the export window doesn’t open. The only way I can export the video is by clicking “Send to Media Encoder” and exporting it from there. I have Premiere updated to the latest version 25.6.2 and I’ve tried all the options (clearing cache, restarting the program, restarting the computer, uninstalling and reinstalling the software) and still the problem persists. I’m using a Mac with Tahoe 26.1.

P.S.: I tried installing the previous version, 25.6.1, and the problem is still there.

P.S. 2: This issue happens both in projects I had already created and in projects I create from scratch.

Hi there,

This issue usually happens when the export dialog hangs due to corrupted preferences or hardware acceleration conflicts. Here are steps you can try:

  • Reset Preferences and Clear Media Cache: Press Shift while launching Premiere Pro and reset preferences and delete media cache from the Reset Options dialog box. Note that certain customizations may be lost.
  • Disable Hardware-Accelerated Encoding: In the Export Settings window, under Encoding Settings, set Performance to Software Encoding. This can help if the issue is GPU-related.
  • Update or Roll Back GPU Drivers: If you recently updated drivers, try rolling back to a stable version from the manufacturer’s site.
  • Try Export via Media Encoder: Use File → Export → Send to Adobe Media Encoder to send the sequence to Adobe Media Encoder and export from there.
  • Test in a New Project: Create a new project and import your sequence to rule out project-level corruption.

If none of these steps help, consider checking for third-party plug-ins or extensions that might interfere with the export process.

Hope this gets you back on track! Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
Kevin
