Cursor briefly lags after playing video

I have a decently beefy PC. Whenever I press "play" on my timeline, my cursor briefly lags, or looks like it moves at around 40-50 fps for a second or two. This adds to the already sluggish feeling of Adobe Premiere and I'm submitting proper bug reports for each bug in hopes that some of these will be fixed.

OS version: Windows 11

Premiere version: Version 24.2.1

RAM: 32 GB

More specs:
Nvidia 4080

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700KF 3.40 GHz

AW Ultrawide Monitor with GSync, HDR, 144hz

Try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

Hey robbylucia,

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the issue. Do you see this problem with all projects and source files? As a test, please create a new project, right-click on the Project panel > Bars and Tone > OK, drag the media to a new Sequence, and let us know if you still see the problem. I also recommend updating to the most recent NVIDIA Studio Drivers. Some users reported issues with the previous version.
