Cursor Calibration Issue in Premiere Pro with External Monitor

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing a serious issue with cursor calibration while using Adobe Premiere Pro on my external 4K monitor. The problem makes it impossible to accurately drag or move clips on the timeline, as the elements do not respond correctly to the cursor’s position.

I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps without success:

  • Uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere Pro
  • Resetting settings to default
  • Clearing the media cache

Interestingly, the issue only occurs on my external monitors, whether connected directly to my Dell Alienware M15 laptop or through a docking station. On my laptop’s built-in display, Premiere Pro functions normally.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue. Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Thank you all for your support and appreciated advises

I came here with the same issue. My monitor's recommended scaling was 100%, but the issue was resolved when I set it to 125%.

I have the same issue. It worked until a few days ago, now I can't use Premiere on an external monitor. After Effects works fine, however.

For a temporary fix, you can change the 2nd monitor scale in the window setting.

Have you had any breakthroughs?

I'm having the same issue - I thought I was going mad, as my external monitor was working just over a week ago

Not yet melissa, probably some issues with some OS or software updates compatibilities.

Waiting someone who's going to solve our problem, we wish

Thank you all

What scaling if any is applied to those monitors?
